OOC: Note this is IC so the opinions of this character don't resemble that of the handler, keep in mind I wrote this all in fun and am playing up my role. With that said if you have a problem with anything said then tough, it's a game so loosen up.

KILLER ... noun.. One that kills; a disease that was a killer of thousands; a killer of new ideas. Slang; Something that is extremely difficult to deal with or withstand; an exam that was a real killer. Oh how about the ajetive...Causing death or destruction; killer floods. Slang; Having impressive or effective power or impact; formidable..
JT snaps shut the dictionary and looks up at his mentor that is well hidden in the darkness of the room and also wearing a hooded robe pulled over his face.
JT
Why are you making me read this shit seriously?
His question was one that a youngster would ask, the figure in the chair stood up and grabbed the book reopening it.
Mentor?
Jeffery...To be great is good, but to understand greatness as you reach it is better. My father knew that...your grandfather knew that and your father knew that. Here read this to me...just the nouns..
The voice was deep and sounded very wise JT looks again at the book and scuffs in annoyance before reading again.
JT
A self-luminous celestial body consisting of a mass of gas held together by its own gravity in which the energy generated by nuclear reactions in the interior is balanced by the outflow of energy to the surface, and the inward-directed gravitational forces are balanced by the outward-directed gas and radiation pressures. Something regarded as resembling such a celestial body. A graphic design having five or more radiating points, often used as a symbol of rank or merit. (pauses) So?

JT
An artistic performer or athlete whose leading role or superior performance is acknowledged. One who is highly celebrated in a field or profession. A planet or constellation of the zodiac believed in astrology to influence personal destiny. Stars The future; destiny.
JT stops and thinks about it then looks up at the man there with him.
Mentor?
Now explain it back to me.
JT
I am a Star I hold myself together, nothing else helps me...I represent the best just like the symbol for merit...HEH..obviously I am the best in my Field and a highly acknowledged athlete...so...so the last thing you are saying I am destiny?
The guy sits back down a flash of white teeth shine through a smile.
Mentor?
Yes...Jeff your only eighteen and by the end of the year you'll e nineteen you are the youngest person on this roster and yet you still are far beyond them in years. Perhaps you can learn from Oden...maybe this is destiny itself..um?
JT thought for a second his ego would never let him admit it, but he did like Oden, the guys attitude reminded him of how he wants to be, his aggression and ruthlessness he found amusing. He walked over to the guy.
JT
Your right bro thanks...I know after you left home dad never forgave you, but I still ... I still look up to you man.
The guy pushed off his hood and looked at him with dark green eyes and that same smart smile. It was Oden's former partner Blake.
Blake/Loren
Don't worry about it...just don't forget your training...mind and body. Also don't tell people I'm here..I used to team with Oden and that's why I am here...
Even he wouldn't admit it, but Oden had reminded him of his little brother JT, even thought Blake had been given up when he was younger and their uncle had raised him the two had remained close. Blake got up and patted his little brother on the back.
Blake/Loren
Take care...
He pulls his hood back on and leaves the scene fading out.

Scene 2 :: On Air
JT hits the boxing beg, he hated striking exercises, but they were his weak point so he had to deal with them. Knowing that he was being recorded for this he didn't want to do the workout that he was flawless at an provide Oden with a window of hope that would just be too easy. Most of them were local newspaper reporters that had questions to ask him about returning home after his trip to Beijing to compete in the Olympics.
Reporter 1
Jeffery...You were so close to making it into the championship picture, but Henry Cejudo got you beat.
Reporter 2
Many people blame your age for why you lost.
Reporter 3
Do you have any words for Cejudo?
Reporter 4
Do you think that this will effect your career?
All the questions were being thrown at him like stones being cast, deep down he wasn't embarrassed at all to have lost to Cejudo...but he couldn't let that ruin his image at all.
JT
He shouldn't even be aloud that metal, my parents didn't come here illegally! Yeah he worked hard to get that metal around his neck, and I worked hard just to get recognized. My age doesn't have crap to do with him beating me he just got lucky and caught me on an off moment. If he would have actually had to live an American life and not a carefree easy one that our government just seems to give aliens then I'd have won.
He walked away from the bag the reporters still rambled off camera flash blinded him, but he managed to get into the locker room and shut the door. He was frustrated and brushed his hands over his head. He might have started to cry from the added pressure that was stacked onto of him. It seemed like only his brother understood, their father had won the gold metal, their grandfather had been a well known man in all the regions in the US. He walked over to the locker and shoved his face into a towel to whip off the sweat, he'd learned to hold in his emotions especially since it seemed he was always being watched. He turned around feeling eyes on him and shouted.
JT
WHAT?!?! Can't I have ONE moment to myself?
A girl looking shocked jumped back.
Girl
Sorry...I just followed you in here, they are rough huh?
She sat down on a bench and looked up at him.
Girl
Oh, I watched you on that American Wrestling Society... you have pretty sweet moves.
He felt she was just trying to make him feel secure, compliments never hit him too well, but he tried.
JT
Thanks...
Girl
I think you will walk past Oden, you're both so great.
He ignored what she said.
JT
Can you just go away! I have a match to deal with I don't have time for stupid little girl's with teen crushes.
Girl
..but I...
JT
You what?!? You wanted to get my autograph? Well I don't care, why don't you go ask somebody that actually has time to care what people want...because I don't.
She looked down and walked to the door, before she opened it she looked back.
Girl
I'm sorry...
JT ignored her and left her walk out the door without even watching her, he just listened for the door to close behind her. He had been watching Oden's tapes and studying up on him, he felt this would be the thoroughest challenge so far for him and failing now just isn't an option.
:::Radio Interview:::
Now that the week was on it's way the countdown had begun for the big show, JT always liked to hype up his matches. How does anyone know how great you are if they never get to see or hear you? It's a philosophy that he always lives by.
Radio DJ
Hello and good evening, This is Braxton and tonight I am here with Lincoln's very own Star...Lucas Stone, or better wise known as Jeffery Starr to fans around the world. Thanks for being here Jeff, first things first... How did it feel about being at this year Olympics?
JT
How do you think it felt? Have you ever been on a stage that big? ...Didn't think so, it was a privilege to finally be competing with people on a level like me.
Radio DJ
Did you think that you get as far as you did?
JT
I thought I would have gotten farther...in fact next go around Cejudo better hope he is out before being in a match with me.
Radio DJ
Will you be ready for the 2012 Olympics taking place in London?
He thought about it that was where his grandfather wrestled and got his start, Loren was the only one that had went back so it would slightly be like being in town and reunited with his brother and the place where they history and drive had gotten it's start.
JT
The better question would be are they ready for me? My family got their start in England so it would be like a mini homecoming in sorts.
Radio DJ
Do you think that with mini homecoming that you stand a better chance?
He smirks he never thought that anything ever gave him a better chance except for him.
JT
Chance? I'm always on the same level, I just wonder if they are ready for somebody of my caliber.
Radio DJ
Now your return to AWS among a few others how do you think that affected you?
Returning to AwS meant that he'd be back in the spotlight the big fish in a tiny pool, he loved it, but what kid his age wouldn't like it?
JT
It's a downgrade, but I got to make a living and do something to keep myself sharp.
Radio DJ
Downgrade how so, aren't you doing something that you like to do?
He liked getting attention, and winning, but this requires more of a reply then the truth.
JT
I'm doing what is available to me, unlike these other people I choose to be here, I mean who else could bring the glamor to this company that I can? Nobody, they are either old and worn out media shaddows...or young people with no real passion
He stopped, but quickly something popped into his head.
JT
Bottom line is I feel bad for the sad people that are forced to watch AwS and pray for something more entertaining to happen...like losing your site.
Radio DJ
So do you think you have the passion that the other don't?
So far most of the people he had met had no passion, their motivation wasn't for themselves or the actual love for the sport or compaction, or even working for the industry that he was in love with, he actually disrespects a lot of them for that very reason.
JT
Of course I do, this is all I care about, I wake up in the morning a wrestler, during the day all i think about is the compaction, when I eat I eat this business, and when I sleep at night all I dream about is this...so what do you think? Do you know anyone else that has that kind of passion, it's an obsession for me that's why I'm as good as I am.
Radio DJ
This business had proven to have its lows have you ever experience them?
The last nights and early mornings, the high fatigue and fighting through very painful aches, lost of personal life, overwhelmed with people wanting to know everything and anything about you? He'd had this his whole life he grew up into it, it's what he was born into. Of course he wondered sometimes what it would be like to be different, but that feeling never last too long for him.
JT
You have to take them with a grain of salt, Now if I tell you what lows I have been though that is a different story...but everyone has them...I just have fewer and know how to deal with them.
Radio DJ
Its seem you don't show them well but why take the weight when so many have pressured under them?
He lets a small burst of laughter out, If anybody didn't feel the pressure of working in this industry then they are obviously not doing their job.
JT
If you don't have some kind of pressure on you then you don't deserve to be in this industry. I'm responsible for carrying on a legacy my brother is half way around the world making his own in Europe, and I'm here doing it for myself.
Radio DJ
How do you far up to your brother being over in Europe to do feel that you live in his shadow or his yours?
Loren and him didn't live in either one's shaddow...just their father's.
JT
Not really Loren and I don't pay much attention to the other because we both have different styles and lives.
Radio DJ
Seem good way to look on things, On your match this Oden how do you think you fair onto him.
Jt laughs almost having to slap his knee at how funny that question was to him. He remembered what his bro had told him, him and Oden were alike it would be like wrestling himself in a way.
JT
I'm better then him, but I can't say that I hate the guy, actually he an I are a lot more alike then people realize, more then I realized until recently, but if he thinks that I'll be a walk in the park he has another thing coming...but just wait till the match and find out I'm better then him, but I can't say that I hate the guy, actually he an I are a lot more alike then people realize, hell more then I realized until recently, but if he thinks that I'll be a walk in the park he has another thing coming...but just wait till the match and find out.
Radio DJ
Alright well that's all the time we have right now, again thanks for your time Jeff and good luck on Friday...Tickets are on sale for the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
The studio goes off the air and JT takes off the headset, he had to keep up appearances, just like normal, but he looks over and shakes the DJ's hand.
JT
Thanks for having me Kay, hope you tune into the show if you can't make it.
She smiled and returned his gesture before he walked out. He really was a well mannered young man under that tough exterior, but not for the ring where he felt the most alive.
