Prologue

The following message was left on AWS.com regarding last week’s match that Ash Dubois was involved in. He seeks retribution. Wouldn’t you?

You would think after you had won the World Heavyweight Championship it would be smooth sailing. You’re DEAD WRONG. I, Ash Dubois, learned that lesson the hard way. I knew what it was like to win the richest prize in this industry before but I never was blatantly attacked like that before. Xavier Oden and Shane Trudex know that. Xavier knows he has what is mine and he will give it up because I will beat him into a bloody pulp and take it back. I don’t care anymore. Target acquired. Locked, and ready to destroy. I am The Sniper and now that you are in the cross hairs you will find out why I am called that. You won’t know what hit you.

The AWS.com staff have denied ever being handed this to be put up on the site but it was on the front page… Everyone could see it. That was the point.

Recovery.

The show had ended. He did it. The title was still his for another day but he suffered. He was a marked man. He now knew what he had to do. He had to play the game and be smart about it but because he had taken such a beating and couldn’t do anything about it until Saturday he knew he needed to rest but that still pissed him off. He was in the hospital. The AWS World Heavyweight Champion was in the frickin hospital. Weakness. That was all it showed to him. He was weak. That was the only thought running his semi-conscious mind. He hated being in this bed. Everything was white and sterile. He couldn’t sleep. It hurt. He couldn’t sit there. It hurt too. He needed to get up. He opened his eyes. They hurt too. He looked around and saw no one. He looked at all of the machines. He wasn’t hooked up to anything. Thank God for that. He decided to get up… He sat up and shuffled his feet to the side of the bed and then pushed himself off of the bed. That was a mistake. His legs gave out and he fell to the floor. One of the nurses heard the noise and came in.

Nurse:
Mr. Dubois, You’re not supposed to get out of bed. How did this happen?

Ash sneered a little. The nurse could tell he was frustrated and in pain. He got him self to sit up then looked up.

Ash Dubois:
Very simple. I want out of this white prison. I’m fine. The doctor told me nothing was broken. So why in the hell am I not able to get up and walk around?

The nurse helped him back into bed.

Nurse:
You were unconscious for 15 hours and the doctors said you have a bad concussion that if agitated could paralyze you at least for a few months. They said if you stay here until the night before the next show you should be ok.

Ash slammed his fist against the bed.

Ash Dubois:
I need to talk to them. Can you get them for me? I don’t want to hurt you. You’re too pretty for that.

The nurse nodded and rushed out of the room to find the doctor. Ash looked up at the television and turned it on. He flipped through the channels until he stopped on the one that was showing the AWS recap show. He listened and watched. The end of his last match came up where he got beat down. He closed his eyes and slammed his fist against the bed again. At that time the doctor came in and looked up at the television and saw the tail end of the beating Ash took including the chair shot..

Doctor:
So that’s why you’re here…. Makes sense. I’ve seen that before. Now Mr. Dubois, you need to stay in bed and keep your blood pressure down. I know you have a family history of it so you need to watch it to avoid your concussion from getting worse. You will make a full recovery for the weekend.

Ash looked at him and was visibly pissed off.

Ash Dubois:
So you’re telling me I have to stay here until bloody Friday night? Fine…but you better come in here everyday and tell me how I am doing.

The doctor nodded.

Doctor:
I will do that. You’re scheduled for a test tomorrow and you can go out for a bit.

Ash nodded. He hated this. He needed to get out of here…and fast…

Mistakes[/size]

Lights fade. Days turn into weeks. This makes no sense to anyone but the one who sent the message. There is a hill and on it you can see the shadow of a man. We can already figure out that it is Ash Dubois. The camera zooms up and Ash smirks. You can see his visible wounds.

Ash Dubois:
There were mistakes made last week. I made just one. I let my guard down. That caused me to get these battle wounds you see and lose the thing I care about. My AWS Championship. Xavier Oden made a critical mistake I’m still breathing. While I am not taking him on this week an old friend of mine is. That’s right. Shane Trudex and I go back a ways. So Xavier. If you’re smart you will be watching your back this week because you will be seeing the ground and this right in your face.

Ash picks up something then shows it to the camera. It is a baseball bat that is red and black. It has the words “The Sniper” written across it. Ash smirks.

Ash Dubois:
I might be up against Revelation this week but that doesn’t mean a damned thing. I could care less about him. He doesn’t know what I’m going through. The physical pain would keep a normal man bed ridden. Rev, if you were smart you would stay clear of the arena this week. I don’t care if its your big return but I am a man on a mission and if you cause me problems you will end up just like Xavier is going to no matter what.

Ash swings the bat into the tree next to him and the tree snaps at the point of impact. Ash starts chuckling.

Ash Dubois:
That will be you. Daylight dies as does man. You are merely a target in the war path. You will suffer. Just like I have.

The camera fades to black.

Retribution

The lights flickered and faded. “Poison} by Endeverafter begins to play through the arena. The fans cheer. They know what is coming next. Ash comes out from the back. He is walking slowly. He is carrying a baseball bat. The same one he had before. In his other hand he has a bag. He walks down the center of the ramp looking straight ahead not acknowledging anyone. He gets in and sets the bag down as he grabs a microphone. The music fades.

Ash Dubois:
I am here for only one reason. I want what is mine. I don’t care who’s ass I have to beat down to get it. I know that two bit player Xavier is floating around here somewhere. I will find you, and when I do I have a little present for you. You see that bag it contains something so vile I can’t show it on television. If anyone stands in my way I will insert this bat upside their skull. That means you Revelation. I don’t care what you plan on doing. I’m not a man to be toyed with. The Sniper has locked onto his target and there is no stopping unless you want to be collateral damage in this war. I plan on starting a war. I will get back what is mine and I will stop at nothing to get it. No one will hold me back period.

Ash looks down the ramp. He motions for someone to come down and no one does.

Ash Dubois:
You see these kids don’t know how to play the game they strike when your back is turned and if they want that I will dish it out. Period. I don’t care what is fair and what is not. They started this war I will end it and prevail. So if you’re smart Revelation you will stay in the back and not bug me. I have a score to settle with one Xavier Oden. I don’t care what you and Shane have planned for later but if you get anywhere near me you will have hell to pay and I will get my title belt back from you.

Ash drops the microphone and his music begins to play.[/center]
