======Phoenix at Home======
The scene fades in on a shot of gym inside of a brick walled house. As we watch, we see Travis Levitt punching into a boxing bag. He has his fists taped up, and is wearing only a pair of tracksuit pants as he continues to slam punches into the bean bag in variations of different right/left combinations. Travis continues to pound the bag, his muscles rippling slightly until we hear a doorbell sound. Travis falters slightly, and then shrugs before starting to pound the bag again. A second doorbell however halts him and he shakes his head before picking up a towel from next to him, jogs up a couple of steps and then straight down the hallway, wiping away some of the sweat as he walks. He finally reaches the door and yanks it open just as it rings a third time.
”Alright, alright, I’m here alr…”
Travis is cut off as a blonde haired female leaps forward and wraps him in a bone crunching hug. Travis stumbles back a few paces before finally getting his footing and wrapping a single arm around the lady. She pulls herself off of him and then looks into his eyes.
”Did you miss me, dear Brother of Mine?”
”Yeah. Like a hole through the head. Sheesh Annie you WANT to give me a heart attack?”
Annie Levitt just smiled up at him and then walked straight past him.
”Would you mind grabbing my bag for me please Travis? I’m just so exhausted from the long drive.”
”Oh HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL No. I am NOT going to become your slave again. I had enough of that growing up.”
Annie turns to face Travis, her eyes wide as she puts on a slightly pouty face and her hands clasped in front of her as she blinks a few times, focusing her big blue eyes straight at Travis.
”Puhleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.”
Travis glares at her for a few seconds, but the sheer might of the cute look from Annie overwhelms him and he just groans and turns away, picking up her suitcase.
”God dammit. I HATE it when you do that. You KNOW I can’t fight back from it.”
Annie just smiles laughs and walks off leaving Travis to carry her suitcase in while shaking his head. He walks to his spare room and puts her suitcase in there before walking back down, and finding her in the kitchen, head deep in the fridge. He leans against the frame and waits a few seconds before speaking.
”I don’t suppose you were thinking of asking to eat my food were you?”
Theres a slight crashing sound from inside the fridge as Travis winces. A second later Annie comes out, egg yolk running through her hair and Travis bites his lip to stop from bursting out laughing. Annie glares at him for a few seconds, evil personified in her eyes as she glares him down, but the effect is ruined by the yolk running down her face. There’s a few seconds of Travis trying not to crack up laughing, while Annie just glares at him until Annie speaks up.
”You KNOW how easy I’m startled. And Mum would kill you if she realized your eggs aren’t properly secured in the door.”
”This may be one of the few times I’ve stuffed up and lived to enjoy it.”
Annie starts walking towards Travis, her fists clenched at her side and a very pissed off look on her face. Travis gets up off the doorframe and starts to backup slowly, his eyes staying locked on Annie’s as he raised his hands in defense.
”Now now Annie. There’s no need for Violence.”
Annie gets close enough and darts forward, trying to bite off Travis’s hand. Travis pulls his hand back and then increases his speed.
”Sis, wouldn’t you feel better after a shower? I mean, you still have yolk coming down your face.”
Annie pauses mid march, just as Travis hits the door. He gulps slightly, and Annie continues to glare at him for a few seconds before turning and walking away as we hear Travis breath a deep sigh of relief. From down the hallway, Annie hears him and speaks over shoulder.
”Don’t get too relaxed dear brother mine. I will get out of the shower shortly, and when I do your toast.”
Travis watches Annie turn the corner, a slight smirk still on his face as he realizes he just avoided a butt kicking and we fade to black…
***********************
When we fade back in, we see that Travis is now sitting in his lounge room on a 5 seater Lounge in the corner. He’s sitting in the corner itself, his eyes glued on his TV Screen, a 110 cm Plasma, which is showcasing some of Clint Clarke Magnum’s previous matches and promos. Travis is leaning back into the couch, a glass of Pepsi in one hand, and focusing on the TV, when Annie walks into the room, her hair still slightly wet, as she’s dressed in a black top and skirt. Travis looks over at her, smiles and then back at the screen as Annie sits down beside him, still adjusting her spiked wristband.
”What ya watching?”
”Just some tapes of my first opponent in AWS.”
Annie finishes adjusting her wristband and then raises her eyebrow as we see a clip of CC walking to the ring Shirtless.
”He’s kinda cute isn’t he.”
”Wait until you hear him talk Sis. You’ll forget all about his looks then.”
The tape flickers over to a shot of Clint doing a promo. After a few minutes Travis takes another sip of his Pepsi and finishes it off before looking at Annie who is slowly nodding off. Travis stops the tape and then pushes Annie slightly.
”Wake up. I’ve stopped it for now, I’ve seen more then enough.”
Annie yawns and stands up, holding her arms out for a hug. Travis gives her one, but as he lets go she raises her knee quickly drilling him square in the nuts. Travis winces clutching at his groin area and slowly stumbles to the floor as Annie stands there smiling.
”You didn’t think I’d forget did you?”
”I…wa…s…kin….da….hop…ing….you….had.”
Annie just chuckles and walks off leaving Travis gasping for air. A minute or ten later he slowly drags himself to his feet before stumbling down the corridor. When he reaches the kitchen he see’s Annie buttering herself up a sandwich. She smiles over at Lev and slides a glass of pepsi his way.
”Here you go. I know what your rocket fuel is.”
Travis gasps deeply a few times, then grasps the Pepsi and drinks it all down. After a few more seconds he stands up fully, a hand still clutching her crotch as he stumbles over to the fridge.
”Your too kind sis. Not like you’re the one who put me in this condition or anything.”
”You trying to say you didn’t deserve it?”
”Annie, so far as your concerned, a man deserves a ball shot for just breathing wrong. There was nothing I could do to avoid it, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it.”
Annie chuckles, finishes making her sandwich, and then walks over to the fridge. She opens it up, and places the margarine back in before shutting it and turning to Travis who is leaning against the wall. She walks over to him and hugs him again before leaning back and looking into his eyes.
”You still love me right?”
”Do I even have a choice in the matter?”
Annie laughs and walks back to her sandwich, before turning to Travis again.
”So, you looking forward to wrestling again?”
Travis opens the fridge and looks in. After a brief look he reaches in and pulls out a Mars Bar, unwrapping it as he turns to face Annie.
”Yeah I am. I mean, I’ve been training for weeks now, and I guess it just felt good to finally be accepted into a wrestling promotion. Lifetime dream and all that jizz.”
”So who are you facing?”
”Clint Clarke Magnum, or as he prefers ‘CC’. He’s your typical cocky jackass that think’s he’s better then everyone.”
”Upto you to knock him down a few rungs huh?”
”It’s a chore, but someone has to do it. I don’t know how I’ll ever survive knowing I’ve shut the mouth of ANOTHER big mouthed jerk.”
Travis sighs dramatically and Annie walks over and pats him on the cheek.
”Bro, I hate to tell you, but it doesn’t matter what male you hit. There ALL big mouthed jerks.”
”And all females are just big mouths, jerking OFF the Big Mouth Jerks.”
Annie’s face changes to a glare, but Travis is too quick this time darting out of arms reach and into the kitchen doorway. Once there he turns back to her with a smirk.
”You can’t win them all Annette, but you an feel free to try.”
”ANNETTE! Did you just call me ANNETTE!?!?!?!”
Travis’s eyes widen in fear, and he turns and bolts away from Annie, who follows a second later chasing him down as the scene fades to black once more…
***********************
We fade back in on a shot of a darkened basement. There’s only a little light showing, but what we can see is a set of stairs leading down and a silhouette of someone moving slightly. Suddenly, like a beacon, a single candle is lit which shows that the basement is mainly empty, only a few boxes in the corners. The main thing that catches the eyes though, is Travis Levitt standing in front of the camera dressed in an all black long sleeved shirt and trouser pants. His eyes are focused on the screen and he breathes deeply before speaking.
On the ‘Down’ the candle flame raises a good few feet before cutting out completely. Theres a few seconds pause and then we see the light from a door being opened and a light is flicked on, revealing Travis standing there, a candle in one hand and fly spray in the other. From the top of the stairs, we hear a familiar voice.
”Why THERE you are dear brother of thine. Why don’t we have a little talk.”
Travis looks up and gulps before listening as Annie’s footprints start walking down the stairs.
”Awww….shit.”

”To those of you who have never seen the Phoenix’s lair before, I bid you welcome. To those who are return visitors, I hope you have returned in good faith. I also hope you will allow me the time to tell all our newest visitors just what this place is. This room, is my sanctuary. It is my place of peace and relaxation where I can relax with little too distract me. For so long as the candle burns, you are welcome here. But once the candle goes out, I will leave and you will once again be left with more questions then answers. More puzzled, curious, and worried then ever before. It is here that I will speak to the masses each week, allowing them their dose of The Phoenix’s truth. A style many will find puzzling, yet addictive. Honest, direct, and delving straight to the core of any crisis’s. For now, my speech shall be short, for I have very little to speak about, and what I do need to speak about is hardly worth the oxygen wasted on it.”
“Clint Clarke Magnum. For reasons beyond my own conceiving, you have been granted the task of facing me in my first venture back into the wrestling ring. I know not the reasons why, beyond those of which are always there. Is it going to be a good match? Are we going to tear the building down? Are we going to raise the roof? These questions are inconsequential. They focus little on the main query of whether thou shall emerge victorious or whether you shall be just another victim of The Phoenix Rising. I have not the answers, for I see not the future. But what I do see is a hard fought contest. If thou are to believe me to be a walkover, then shall thee be sorely mistaken. Thou shalt get no walkover from me, and shall instead be facing an opponent who will give it his all in his quest to be the best. For me the mere aspect of competition is all I ask for. Someone willing to give as good as they get, and not go down so easy.”
“This is who I am Magnum. I am not a fraud, acting like I am something I am not. I have nothing behind the curtain, or up my sleeve. Instead what you see is what you get, and this week I will be bringing my all to face thee. For as sure as thee is a fromer drug addict, I am an addict now. An addict to competition. This week marks my first match in the AWS, but make no mistakes Clint, I fear thee not, and I shall bring my best, in an effort to Burn…You…DOWN!!!”
